What is EAP?

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to assist you and your family in resolving work/life issues in order to live happier, healthier, more balanced lives.  The EAP supports employees and their dependents on a wide range of mental health topics for which short-term counseling is appropriate.  

As a benefits-eligible employee of the City of Knoxville, you and your dependents are entitled to make use of counseling services completely free of charge for 10 sessions per issue, per year. You have access to experienced counselors who can help with any number of personal or work related issues.

What would I use EAP for?

You may use EAP for personal problems such as marital and family problems, personal psychological problems, depression, problems with children or teenagers, grief or personal loss issues, job related problems, parenting issues, anger management, stress, anxiety or anything else of a personal or psychological nature.

How do I contact EAP?

You can reach ENI EAP by calling 1-800-986-4513, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Employee Assistance Program counseling is available through ENI, which has providers in Knoxville/Knox County and surrounding counties for your convenience as well as many online services available at www.mybalanceworks.com.
