The Building Board of Adjustments & Appeals reviews appeals of the Building Official's rejection of methods or materials proposed by a builder.
Variance Request Fees: 1 & 2 Family Dwellings $100, All Other Structures $200
(Limit four code sections per variance request fee)
Deadline to submit application is 10 days prior to the meeting date.
APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS
The Building Board of Adjustment & Appeals consists of seven members and two alternates. Members shall have at least 10 years experience within the field they represent. One shall be a registered architect, one a licensed home builder, one a licensed general contractor, one an attorney, one a registered structural engineer, one member with training and full knowledge of fire service or the National Fire Code and one shall be a consumer representative. The members are appointed by the Mayor and serve five year terms.
The board meets every third Friday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Small Assembly room of the City-County Building.
