Suttree Landing
In July 2015, the City of Knoxville broke ground on the new $3.4 million Suttree Landing Park. This 8.3-acre linear park is located in the Old Sevier neighborhood and will showcase a festival lawn, children's playground, scenic overlook area, boat dock, put-in-ramp (for non-motorized boats) and public parking. The park will also include a 2,000-foot-long section of riverwalk and a new two-lane tree-lined Waterfront Drive offering direct access to the park.

Suttree Landing Park and Waterfront Drive combined represent a $6.6 million investment by the City of Knoxville. Construction was completed in November 2016. To read more about the official opening and ribbon cutting see the blog post here.

The City looks to start construction of the Suttree Landing Pavilion & Kayak Launch by late summer/early fall 2018. On April 19, 2018, the City held a public meeting at South Knoxville Elementary School to provide attendees an opportunity to review and comment on the latest design.

Presentation slides from the public meeting on April 19, 2018 can be viewed here.

Comments received from the meeting and City responses can be viewed here.
