City to Begin Enforcing Parking Meters

Posted: 07/30/2010
The City of Knoxville will begin enforcing the parking meters in the city parking lot between Summit Hill Drive and the O.P. Jenkins Furniture Store beginning Monday, August 2.

The parking lot features new meters and has been repaved and re-striped.

The city had allowed free parking at that location during much of the Gay Street Streetscapes construction, in part, because of the disruption the work was causing.

That project is coming to a close, however, and the city will resume monitoring those parking meters.
