Knox County Traffic Alert

Today, starting at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. there will be a right lane closure on I-40 westbound at Broadway for road repair. Also, on I-275 south ramp at Oldham Avenue there will be a lane closure from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for brush removal.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2005, there will be a right lane closure on I-40 Westbound between Wesley Rd. (MM 381) and Gallaher View (MM 379) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for milling and removal of pavement markings.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2005, traffic will be paced slowly for approximately two minutes on I-40 Westbound between I-640 (Exit 385) and Papermill Drive (Exit 383) at approximately 11 a.m. to move construction equipment. Motorists should be alert for sudden stops and use caution through this area. This was originally set up for the Eastbound side of I-40.

On Tuesday night, June 14, 2005, there will be lane closures and rolling roadblocks on I-40 Westbound between Wesley Rd. (MM 381) and Gallaher View (MM 379) between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews switch westbound traffic to the outside lanes through this section. Motorists should be alert for sudden stops and use extreme caution through this area. Potntial delays should be expected. On Tuesday night, June 14, 2005, I-40 Westbound will be reduced to one lane at Midway Rd. (Exit 402) between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning for resurfacing work. Motorists should be alert for sudden stops and use extreme caution through this area.

On Wednesday, June 15, 2005 and Thursday, June 16, 2005, the left lane will be closed on I-40 East between Gallaher View (MM 379) and Winston Rd.
