Three Flights Up Gallery invites you to stop by for an evening of art, food and music featuring work by several local artists including Holly Denman, Terrie Yeatts, Julie Camarata, Trevor Mikula, David Massengill, Annie Fletcher, Rebecca Jack, Erin Dutton, Diana Bundy, Lauren Karnitz, Ben McKamey, and jewelry by Amanda Richardson.Downtown Grill & Brewery will host the band JOBE. They will also extend their happy hour until 10:00 featuring $2 pints, Long Island Ice Tea, and margaritas as well as double wells and calls and $1 off house wines.
Reruns will feature LIVE Mannequins.
The Arts & Culture Alliance presents "Oil and Steel: Muscle and Mind", featuring local artists Clay Pardue (oil on board) and Michael Russell (metal sculptures). Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres are served.
Preservation Pub has an extended Happy Hour and FREE Pizza til 6:30 and will host the "Appalachian Gypsy" sounds of Swing Booty.
The UT Downtown Gallery will present “Through the Lens of Ed Westcott: A Photographic History of World War II’s Secret City." Westcott was the official photographer for the Oak Ridge division of the
Manhattan Project.

One Vision Plaza hosts the Writer's Block LIVE Concert Series with special guests ARLINGTON PRIEST with The Lonetones. Arlington Priest has been described as "heartfelt lyrics, combined with soulful voices and charming persona....songs of haunting beauty... teaming with lush finger picking and dazzling harmonies." -Southeast Performer Magazine. Tickets are $7.
Bliss HOME will the feature the works of local artist Matt Peterson. Matt's work is based on systems built by codes and works with idea that the whole is the sum of its parts.

"First Friday" – is a highly successful event that began in October of 2003. On the first Friday of every month each downtown business offers something special for all Knoxvillians and visitors. Promotions include artist receptions, gallery openings, special food and drink offerings and more. Each of these events has drawn between 500 and 1,000 people to the Market Square District.
