The Public Service Department (PSD) provides the majority of the services residents of City of Knoxville use every day. These services include garbage collection, brush and leaf collection, facility and street maintenance, horticulture services, among others. The PSD is comprised of 292 employees and has a total annual operating budget of $35 million.

The department consists of six divisions: Neighborhood Services, Street Maintenance, Facility Services, Horticulture, Urban Forestry, and Waste and Resources Management. Each division provides unique services and manage contracts that keep our community beautiful, safe, and clean.
