KUB Lane Closures on Emory, Broadway, Kingston Pike, Neyland, Echo, Colter, and Valley Dr.

Due to utility maintenance, there will be KUB Lane Closures on East Emory Rd., N. Broadway, Kingston Pike, Neyland Dr., Echo Dr., Colter St., and Valley Dr.

(North Knox County) Road Closure - East Emory Road [January 28-29] – KUB crews will close a short section of East Emory Road between Andersonville Pike and Maynardville Highway, overnight from 10 p.m., Saturday, January 28, to 5 a.m., Sunday, January 29, as work is performed on the electric distribution system in the area. Alternate routes include Andersonville Pike and Maynardville Highway. Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

(North Knoxville) N. Broadway Lane Closure [January 29] – KUB crews will close a short section of the curbside, northbound lane of North Broadway between Chickamauga Avenue and Hiawassee Avenue, from 7 a.m.- 1 p.m., on Sunday, January 29, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. One northbound lane, the center turn lane, and both southbound lanes will remain open during this time. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control, and access to local businesses will be maintained. 

(West Knoxville) Kingston Pike Lane Closures [January 29] – KUB crews will close short sections of the curbside lanes of Kingston Pike from 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, as natural gas work is performed at these locations: 
•  Kingston Pike between Northshore Drive and Bearden Road – eastbound, curbside lane closed. One eastbound lane, the center turn lane, and both westbound lanes will remain open. 
•  Kingston Pike between Westwood Road and Gore Road – westbound, curbside lane closed. One westbound lane, the center turn lane, and both eastbound lanes will remain open. 
Flaggers and arrow boards will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

(Downtown Knoxville) Neyland Drive Lane Closure [January 30] –  KUB crews will close a short section of the eastbound, curbside lane of Neyland Drive between Jacob Drive and Third Creek, from 9 a.m.- noon, on Monday, January 30, as work is performed on the electric distribution system in the area. One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes will remain open during this time. Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control, and follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. 

(West Knoxville) Echo Drive Road Closure [January 30 – February 3] – KUB contract crews will close Echo Drive between Letterman Road and Agnes Road from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, Monday-Friday, starting Monday, January 30, through Friday, February 3, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Alternate routes include Walden Drive and Letterman Road. Local traffic access will be maintained, and the roadway will reopen after working hours. 

(South Knoxville) Colter Street Road Closure [January 30- February 3] – KUB contract crews will close a short section of Colter Street, between Pedigo Street and Edmonds Avenue, daily from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., starting Monday, January 30, and lasting through Friday, February 3, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. All lanes will reopen to traffic outside of listed work hours. Alternate routes include Pedigo Street, Edmonds Avenue, Hickman Street, and Valley Avenue. Local traffic access to driveways will be maintained, and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

(South Knoxville) Valley Drive Road Closure [January 30 – February 3] – KUB contract crews will close Valley Drive between Dover Street and Lincoln Street from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, Monday-Friday, starting Monday, January 30, through Friday, February 3, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Alternate routes include McCormick Street, Pedigo Street, and Colter Street. Local traffic access will be maintained, and the roadway will reopen after working hours. 

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
