Due to this week’s winter weather, KUB and its contractor will extend the closure of a section of the Neyland Greenway through the weekend, January 23-24, and through the following week, from Monday, January 25, through 5 p.m., Friday, January 29 (weather permitting), to facilitate safe conditions as work is performed on the pathway surface. This closure was originally scheduled for January 18-22. 

The section of greenway that is closed is the area east of the Third Creek Greenway/Neyland Greenway connector intersection, across the Neyland Drive bridge spanning Third Creek, and to the section of greenway that runs under the bridge. The adjacent parking area will also be closed. There will be no detour in association with this closure. 

Signs were placed a key locations along both the Third Creek and Neyland Greenways midweek the week of January 11, and these signs will not be updated with the extended closure dates. The impacted section of greenway will be closed continuously throughout the duration of the work. KUB asks park patrons to please respect the signage and barricades in place, and to avoid this section of greenway due to ongoing excavation, as well as the presence of construction equipment, vehicles, and workers.
