Due to utility maintenance that's part of the Downtown Century II Construction Project, KUB will have lane closures on Walnut, Clinch and Henley.

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project –Walnut Street Road Closure [Extended through March 11] – KUB and its contractor will maintain a full road closure due to construction conditions on Walnut Street between Clinch Avenue and W. Church Avenue through 6 p.m., Friday, March 11, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. KUB and its contractor will make every effort to reopen at least one lane of traffic in construction zones on weekends and holidays, construction conditions and safety permitting. 

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Clinch Avenue Road Closure [Extended through March 11] – KUB and its contractor will maintain a full road closure due to construction conditions on Clinch Avenue between Henley Street and Locust Street through 6 p.m., Friday, March 11, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. KUB and its contractor will make every effort to reopen at least one lane of traffic in construction zones on weekends and holidays, construction conditions and safety permitting. 

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Walnut Street Lane Closure [February 25 –March 18] – KUB and its contractor will implement a lane closure on Walnut Street between Clinch Avenue and Union  Avenue from 6 a.m., Thursday, February 25, through 6 p.m., Friday, March 18, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. Local traffic access and all parking areas will be maintained. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. KUB and its contractor will make every effort to reopen at least one lane of traffic in construction zones on weekends and holidays, construction conditions and safety permitting. 

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Henley Street/ Clinch Avenue Lane Closures [Extended February 29 – March 11] – KUB and its contractor will implement progressive lane closures of Henley Street at the Clinch Avenue intersection from Monday, February 29, through Friday, March 11, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. Crews will begin work in the northbound lanes, working west across the intersection into the southbound lanes. A minimum of one lane of traffic each direction will be maintained during this work. Work hours with lane closures will be from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m., with occasional lane closures for prep-work taking place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. as necessary. Clinch Avenue between Locust Street and Henley Street will remain closed until work is finished in the easternmost northbound lanes of Henley Street. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. 
  
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
