Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch today announced traffic enforcement results from the Memorial Holiday enforcement campaign.
The specialized enforcement effort began at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, and concluded at Midnight on Monday, May 30, 2016.
Chief Rausch said during the enforcement campaign, officers issued 624 driving related citations.
Of the 624 citations, 31 motorists were cited for not wearing a safety belt.
Officers cited 63 motorists for driving on either a suspended or revoked license or they had no license at all.
Ten (10) motorists were arrested during the holiday reporting period for driving under the influence.
Officers also investigated 41 vehicle crashes.
