KUB will have lane closures at West Forest Blvd., Joan Cronan Way and Game Day Way Blvd. due to utility maintenance.

(UT Area) Joan Cronan Way Lane Closure [August 31 - September 4] – KUB and its contractor will reduce a section of Joan Cronan Way to one alternating lane of traffic between Stephenson Drive and Neyland Drive from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. nightly, Monday-Friday, starting Monday, August 31, until Friday, September 4, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. 

(West Knoxville) West Forest Boulevard Lane Closures [August 31 – September 11] – KUB crews will implement lane closures on West Forest Boulevard between Piney Grove Church Road and Middlebrook Pike from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., daily starting from Monday, August 31, lasting through Friday, September 11, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. Crews will be working in the southbound lane, while the northbound lane will remain open and be used to alternate traffic.  Crews will also be working on North Forest Road between Piney Grove Church Road and West Forest Boulevard and will implement lane closures during the same dates and times mentioned above. The natural gas upgrades in the West Forest neighborhood are expected to continue through November 2015. Additional advisories for utility work impacting traffic flow in this area will be issued as needed. 

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Game Day Way Road Closures [August 31 - September 11] – KUB and its contractor will maintain a closure of a short section of Game Day Way from 7 a.m., Monday, August 31, until 6 p.m., Friday, September 11, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. Residents in this area should be mindful of the presence of construction workers and equipment, and follow all posted traffic signs. One cul-de-sac of Maplehurst Court will also remain closed during this time. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary. 

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution, and expect temporary delays in these areas.
