The City Tree Board has rescheduled its meeting from Thursday, March 5,
to Thursday, March 12, due to the potential for inclement weather
tomorrow.
Some members of the Tree Board work for tree-care companies or public
utilities and may be needed to respond to tree-related emergencies in
the event of a Thursday ice storm, which is forecast as a possibility.
The Tree Board will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, at Ijams Nature Center, 2915 Island Home Ave.
The purpose of the City Tree Board is to formulate a master street tree
plan for all municipal property, to assist in disseminating news and
information regarding the selection, planting and maintenance of trees,
and to advise City Council on legislation concerning the city's tree
program.
