City Offices Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1

City of Knoxville offices will be closed Friday, December 25th for the Christmas holiday and Friday, January 1st for the New Year holiday. 

Waste Connections, the City's household garbage and recycling collector will be closed on Friday, December 25th in observation of the holiday.  

There will be no residential garbage or recycling collection on Friday, December 25th. Collection will resume on Saturday and pick-up will be one day behind the regular schedule. 

Waste Connections WILL run residential garbage and recycling routes on Friday, January 1, 2016.  Trash and recycling routes will run as usual the week of December 28, 2015 through January 1, 2016.  

The downtown trash and recycling will not be picked up on Friday, December 25th. Collections will resume on Saturday.  Downtown trash and recycling will run on its regular schedule January 1st. 

The City's recycling centers will be open for recycling use but the Goodwill attendant will not be available for household goods donations on Friday, December 25th and Friday, January 1st. 

The City's Solid Waste Management Facility located at 1033 Elm Street will be closed on Friday, December 25th and Saturday, December 26th, and Friday, January 1st and Saturday, January 2nd.
