February 17, 2014 - Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Police Chief David Rausch today honored two officers for their assistance to the family of Knoxville Police Department Officer David Munson. Officer Munson was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash in October.
Officer Sam Henard and Officer Brian Kauffman were presented the Certificate of Excellence for assisting the Munson family during this difficult time.
Both officers gave their time, hearts and souls to ensure that the final wishes of a fellow officer were carried out and that his family were able to say goodbye in a beautiful ceremony.
