Road Closures for Celebration of Lights Event Nov. 23

The Regal Celebration of Lights kicks off festivities for Christmas in the City on Friday, Nov. 23. The lighting of the 38-foot-tall Christmas tree will take place at 6:15 p.m. in Krutch Park Extension and the WDVX Ho-Ho-Hoedown will begin on Market Square at 5 p.m. Free activities include pictures with Santa Claus, face painting, balloon art and marshmallow roasting.

Because of this event the following road closures will be in effect:

Gay Street will be closed between Church St. & Summit Hill from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Nov. 23 There will be Temporary No Parking during this time on Gay Street.

Market Street will be closed between Clinch Ave & Union Ave from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Nov. 23 There will be Temporary No Parking during this time on Market Street.

Union Avenue will be closed between Walnut and Gay St from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Nov. 23 There will be Temporary No Parking during this time on Union Avenue. Patrons for Hotel Oliver will be able to unload.
