Posted: 06/26/2012
The City of Knoxville's Special Events Office has put a new spin to Festival on the Fourth activities this year with a patriotic bike parade for children ages 3 to 12.

Festival on the Fourth is presented by OneMain Financial.

Beginning at 1 p.m., participants in the bike parade will meet at the World's Fair Park Playground. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a bicycle safety class presented by the safety officers with the Knoxville Police Department.

The bike parade will officially begin at 2 p.m. and will circle around the World's Fair Park Playground and along World's Fair Park Drive to the Amphitheatre. Regal's Star-Spangled Kids Zone will also be open for kids' events.

There will be prizes awarded for the best costume and best decorated bike in each age group.

Bicycles, wheelchairs, strollers and tricycles are all eligible to participate.
