In celebration of the Christmas season, Home Federal Bank invites its East Tennessee neighbors to enjoy two free showings of "It's a Wonderful Life" on the big screen at the historic Tennessee Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 4.

As an added bonus, moviegoers also receive $2 discount coupons for the Holidays on Ice rink on Market Square, providing patrons an affordable way to spend the day enjoying downtown Knoxville. The film will be shown at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and doors will open one hour prior to each performance.

There is no cost, and no ticket is required. Seating is limited to the theater's capacity.

Released in 1947 and starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, "It's a Wonderful Life" is a bittersweet comedy/drama about George Bailey, a compassionate but debt-ridden manager of a bank in typical small-town America, and the angel that helps him realize his importance in the world. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards and ranks No. 20 on the American Film Institute's "100 Greatest Movies of All Time" list.
