Mayor Bill Haslam will take City Hall to North Knoxville with a Walking Tour to visit with Oglewood Avenue residents on Thursday, Oct. 14.
"The Walking Tour is an opportunity for me to meet and hear from residents in the places they value most - their homes and neighborhoods," Mayor Haslam said.
The Mayor's walk will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Broadway and Oglewood Avenue and end at Christenberry Park.
The tour is a continuation of efforts by Mayor Haslam to make city government more accessible and convenient to citizens.
He also hosts monthly Listening Tours where citizens can meet with him and other city representatives one-on-one at locations within the community. The next Listening Tour is scheduled for 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at Gresham Middle School.
